Ultraviolet product safety
UV-A
Ultraviolet radiation can cause eye and skin injury. Do not look directly at an energised emitter. The integrator must provide shielding, interlocks, warning labelling and a completed system-level risk assessment appropriate to the finished product.
UV-C 270 nm
UV-C radiation can cause serious eye and skin injury. Exposure must be prevented by design. This platform is intended solely for integration by qualified equipment manufacturers, who are responsible for shielding, interlocks, warning labelling and a completed system-level risk assessment.
The listed applications identify intended integration categories. Finished-system dose, exposure control and efficacy must be established by the equipment manufacturer.
