Read what some of our customers are saying about Nisene Technology Group, Inc. and its product line of automated IC decap systems.

A Little History

Nisene Technology Group, Inc. is the world leader in automated decapsulation. We’ve been doing this since the 1970s, back in the days of the original Jet Etch decapsulation system — the very first automated integrated circuit decapsulation system. Much in the same way when you order a “Coke” at a restaurant when you want a cola-flavored soda, you say “Jet Etch” when referring to decapsulating an integrated circuit. The name for the process was coined back in the late 70s because of our famous original product, and it stuck.

Nisene Company SealThrough the years we have developed dozens of models and several versions within each of those model families. All told, Nisene has designed at least 50 different types of decapsulation systems in the 40-plus years of serving the industries.

Throughout the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, Nisene supported the integrated circuit failure analysis industry with its automated decap instrumentation as its primary customer base. In the mid-2000s, a need arose in the integrated circuit distributor industry to help spot illegitimate integrated circuits that were being sold to unsuspecting buyers. With these counterfeit ICs inundating the aftermarket and legacy supply chains, the demand for a reliable tool to perform inspection was introduced. Nisene met this challenge and now gladly supports the IC distributor market, where we proudly offer our equipment to all of the major chip distributors — providing them with top-quality counterfeit protection systems.

Nisene continues to enhance its product line with the latest in technology and innovation to address emerging new packages and materials used in the semiconductor industry.  The most recent being our microwave-induced plasma etch system, the PlasmaEtch.

It is our goal to meet the demands of each of the industries we support with reliable, accurate, and safe tools. Contact us today to get in touch with a staff member directly.
